Physical and chemical properties: white crystal or powder, slightly hygroscopic, slightly bitter taste. Neutral, non-toxic, soluble in water. Specific gravity: 2.023 (20°C deg.c), bulk density 900-1000g/kg, decomposition temperature >400°C.

Function and use:

1. As a new feed additive. Feeding calcium formate to gain weight and using calcium formate as a feed additive for piglets can promote piglet appetite and reduce diarrhea rate. Adding 1.5% calcium formate to the feed in the first few weeks after weaning of piglets can increase the growth rate of piglets by more than 12% and the feed conversion rate by 4%.

2. Used in construction. It is used as fast setting agent, lubricant and early strength agent for cement. It is used in construction mortar and various concretes to speed up the hardening speed of cement and shorten the setting time, especially in winter construction to avoid too slow setting speed at low temperature. The demoulding is fast, so that the cement can be put into use as soon as possible with high strength. All kinds of dry-mixed mortar, all kinds of concrete, wear-resistant materials, flooring industry, feed industry, tanning. Calcium formate dosage and precautions The dosage per ton of dry powder mortar and concrete is about 0.5~1.0%, and the maximum addition amount is 2.5%. The dosage of calcium formate gradually increases with the drop of temperature, even if the dosage of 0.3-0.5% is applied in summer, it will also have obvious early strength effect.
